Last year for the London Festival of Architecture 100 Union Street, SE1, London was turned into an Urban Orchard. I helped out a bit with its general maintenance and upkeep. It was a brilliant project which turned a dull piece of unused land into a lovely community garden which also had cafe, put on workshops and events.
For The London Festival of Architecture 2011 the same space is set to be turned into an Urban Physic Garden and I hope get involved with this new project.
